Pupil Council
Our Pupil Council is elected every year and members are voted for by their fellow pupils. Any pupil can put themselves forward to serve on the council and the pupils who are chosen take their responsibilities very seriously. We’re very lucky to have such keen and enthusiastic children in our school. They do such a wonderful job.
The main functions of the Pupil Council are to:
- Represent the views of our pupils
- Promote positive relationships by leading by example
- Select Star Pupil for acts of kindness
- Greet visitors and show them round the school
- Lead assemblies
- Be involved in the appointment of senior promoted staff.
- Raise funds
They meet regularly with Mr Taylor and discuss how to improve the school. There is a box for suggestions in the entrance area of the school and anyone can put suggestions into this for discussion at the next Pupil Council meeting. Minutes of meetings are put in the entrance area on the Pupil Council board and things are also discussed at assembly.
